Judith Wright Centre is excited to announce the three-week season of Tom Tom Crew
Audacious acrobatics, phenomenal beat-boxing, master scratching and indescribable drumming displays collide as some of Australia’s most extraordinary talents join forces.
Returning to Australia following 21 consecutive sold out performances at the world’s largest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe, Tom Tom Crew is excited to finally show Brisbane audiences what the fuss is all about.
Tom Tom Crew features world renowned percussionist Ben Walsh, mix-master Sampology, beat-boxing whiz-kid Tom Thum and graduates of Australia’s famous Flying Fruit Fly Circus; Ben Lewis, Daniel Catlow, Shane Witt with elite gymnast Karl Stock each flipping, flying and slamming up the stage.
This is circus at its most extreme, and the dynamic explosiveness of the human body can only be matched by the sheer power of hip-hop rhythms.
