A delicious, inventive, tender and dream-like journey in sound, word, and image. The New Passion Club interweaves warm acoustic music, spoken word, dazzling loops, studio-produced instrumentals and visual narratives by Australian and international artists including Simone Hine (Melbourne), video artist Justine Pearsall (London), Anne Seibel (Parisian art director of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette), Catriona Stanton (Darwin), Brisbane artists, Mandy Ridley, Kate Barnes , and Yvonne Sylvia as well as artists from Vienna and Algeria. Described by the Daily Telegraph as "brave, sensual, and original", The New Passion Club features writer/musician and songwriter Linda Neil, a live band with special guest John Rodgers on guitar, keyboard, and violin, as well as a music soundtrack co-produced with Ed Kuepper (The Saints, The Laughing Clowns) and material co-written with Steve Kilbey (The Church). This special one-off performance is directed by award winning Brisbane writer and performer Annie Lee (Kransky Sisters).
Apologies if you receive this more than once.
