Jeff Lang needs no introduction to Australia; he’s long been heralded as one of our greatest musicians, songwriters and guitarists.
"He is a phenomenal guitar player, but he is a songwriter first… integrity, passion and extraordinary musicianship.” Courier Mail, Brisbane
Blending rock, roots, folk, blues, ballads, instrumentals and improvisation, Lang performs without a set list, allowing the unique energy in each night to shape the concert.
“…We’re treated to moody atmospheric textures, ripping electric lap-steel riffs, delicate acoustic picking, trippy backwards leads, oddball percussion, throbbing tremelo and unconventional lyrics… Lang’s music is as fiercely moving as it is original.” Andy Ellis - Guitar Player Magazine, USA
This autumn, Jeff sets out on a 12-stop tour of the country in celebration of his new album, Prepare Me Well (1994-2006), an anthology spanning the solo recordings of Lang’s massive 12-album back catalogue.
“I tried to strike a balance between songs that fans associate with me like London or Bateman’s Bay; alternative versions of songs that changed after they were recorded like Cedar Grove, Gina and I Still See You, and a few songs that never found a home on any of my solo records like Elvis is Dead” says Lang.
Don’t miss Jeff Lang live @ the Judy.
