Three acclaimed artists beat the drum for a multicultural Australia.
A globe-trekking trio of percussionists, Circle of Rhythm take audiences on a rhythmic tour-de-force from the high-energy frenetic drumming of Japan & Polynesia to the ethereal and spiritually uplifting sounds of India.
With over 30 years of worldwide touring experience between them, the renowned talents of Greg Sheehan, Bobby Singh and Ben Walsh have formed a dynamic trio dedicated to revealing the full potential of the drum.
Each individual member of Circle of Rhythm has forged a different name and musical identity in their own right. Collectively, they have performed with a string of local luminaries including Pablo Picasso, Utungan Percussion, Skin, Dha, The Bird and Taal Vadya.
As a trio, Circle of Rhythm is a fresh and exciting ensemble that shatters all traditional ‘tin-soldier’ notions of drumming, pursuing the rhythm that hits the heartbeat of all music.
Their show is a homage to multi-cultural Australia, borrowing rhythms and melding a collection of drum styles together in a truly masterful way that is entirely unique yet rich in ancient tradition.
Expect a powerhouse of razor-sharp precision beats and drumming of the highest order, delivered with all the wit and wiles of the Australian way.
