Welcome to February, the month Judy shifts gears and picks up her tempo. All of us are excited by what's coming up over the next month. Part of our most extensive program for the January - April ever, February offers a tantalising range of performances including world and contemporary music, folk, pop and jazz, some great new Brisbane theatre produced through our Emerge program, a genre-bending exhibition of photographs by New Zealander Yvonne Todd and the best new work by local artists in the Fresh Cut 2007 exhibition at the IMA, and the first showing of a new dance work created by the 2006 Australian Dance Award winning team of Clare Dyson and the Subject to Change Collective. Don't let the prospect of another hard year get you down. Nourish your soul and stimulate your imagination at the Judy!

Don't miss women in docs and Sally Dastey this Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are selling fast, so don't miss out!

Colouring the world. Aside from our new look and colour Program, our website and web-based marketing will move to full colour in 2007 and gain new functions. New lighting installed over Christmas (thanks Santa) will add great atmosphere and vibe to our foyers, so check it out when next you're in.

Doing our eco bit. To save trees and postage, we'll be using email and the web more regularly to communicate. To help make this work, please keep your email details up to date and encourage your friends to register on our website at www.judithwrightcentre.com.au Our four-monthly Program will continue and become our main form of hard copy information. Again, please register with us on line and keep your details current so we can post you a copy.

Due to an unfortunate accident over the Christmas break, Melbourne's
Ben Winkelman Trio has had to reschedule. It now looks likely that the show will go ahead on Saturday May 26 . Everyone who has already purchased a ticket will be contacted shortly by our box office with an option to transfer their ticket to the new date or to receive a refund.

Not content to rest on our laurels, just as our January - April program kicks into action , we're already busy putting the finishing touches on our May - August 2007 Program. The details are still under wraps, but expect to see a program full of dance, new Queensland theatre, an off beat off Broadway musical, action films and a whole lot of contemporary and new music including 2007 Queensland Music Festival events. Stay tuned!

All the best
